Overview and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the strategic development of brand/marketing initiatives, including but not limited to P&L management, budgeting, promotion execution, product management, building partner relationships, and consumer & trade marketing for theatrical library.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Develops comprehensive physical and digital distribution product and trade promotions for the theatrical library
• Responsible for outlining annual release schedules and identifying priorities
• Oversees the development of physical and digital library product strategy and release plans, including input on all campaign materials to ensure strategic consistency
• Utilizes volume forecasting tools, competitive analysis, pricing models and retail observations to prepare thorough P&L analysis on a by-title basis
• Responsible for the successful launch of new DVD/BD/Digital library releases. A successful launch involves: Creation of accurate and thorough Marketing Plans and Creative Briefs inclusive of an identified unique selling proposition; Development of break-through consumer campaigns including the utilization of traditional and new media tools including social media activation and fan community engagement; Development of creative assets including print ads, TV spots, online creative, digital marketing tools, packaging and promotions (where applicable); Timely solicitation and sales communications
• Renovates marketing strategy on existing franchises to preserve brand equity and ensure continued success on these properties
• Works with cross functional teams, including national promotions, retail marketing, publicity, media/research, legal, operations, planning and sales, to design the marketing mix that is optimum for each release and to ensure each project meets all deadlines
• Ensures the day-to-day execution and timely implementation of all plans, including managing internal and external processes and approvals
• Stays on top of trends to anticipate and react to competition and consumer attitudes and behavior
• Analyzes the performance of each initiative to improve future performance and works with cross-functional teams on post mortems
• Secures approval from Executive Management and communicates plans to the greater organization
• Manages and develops direct reports
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of BS/BA degree, preferably in Marketing or related field
• Minimum of 6 years of product/brand management/retail marketing in a studio or consumer packaged goods environment. Previous P&L management and accountability a must
• Proficiency with MS Office Software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Must demonstrate strong knowledge, business and fiscal acumen in the area of Home Media
• Experience managing and developing direct reports preferred
• Effective communicator and presenter to varying levels of senior management
• Proven strategic and conceptual skills
• High critical thinking, analytical, Strong attention to detail, reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Firm grasp on financial and P&L models
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks effectively
• Resourceful with the ability to work independently as well as effectively on a team
• Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively manage direct reports
• In-depth knowledge of theatrical and home entertainment product
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and work well with all levels of employees, including senior management
