Job TitleExecutive Creative Director
Job Summary
• Responsible for implementing creative direction of assigned MXM/Los Angeles book of business as determined by the Creative Operations Officer.
• Conceives and creates experience-oriented digital marketing solutions that address strategic business objectives.
• Promotes continual creative improvement and actively contributes to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability.
• Sets the tone for the LA creative group in managing to timelines and budgets.
• Partners with Creative Operations Officer as a creative leader across the organization. Participate in new business efforts as assigned, leading creative teams.
• Develops and cultivates relationships with senior Business, Creative, Account and Strategy Leadership across offices.
• Partners with Business Leadership on forward planning for future success, including operational, staffing and profitability as related to the creative department and product
Essential Job Functions
60 Supervise MXM/LA creative team and process, overseeing assigned staff to ensure creative meets quality standards established by Content Operations Officer as well as marketing objectives of respective clients.
25 Work with Creative Operations Officer and management team to facilitate new business process.
10 Work with management team to develop and implement strategies that generate revenues and profits in order to meet financial objectives and ensure continued growth.
5 Represent MXM when necessary, or when a promotional opportunity arises.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education
BA or advanced degree in journalism/related field and/or 8 years equivalent experience in journalism/publishing.
Experience
Minimum 10 years in publishing/editing field, with 6 years supervisory/management exp.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong experience performing and overseeing editing/copy editing work
Prior work in scheduling processes for assignments and projects.
Knowledge in/of a variety of production roles and responsibilities
Knowledge of editorial computer systems
Accounting basics
Prior experience in a management/supervisory role
Strong presentation skills to various audiences
Ability to define and implement creative vision.
