OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope)
Position is responsible for assisting the Company/Sundance Channel Global executive team . With clear direction, but acting with considerable independence, performs advanced, diversified and confidential administrative and secretarial support. This position requires the individual to have experience, knowledge, and professionalism in activities that include scheduling, submitting travel and entertainment expenses, maintaining a calendar for multiple people, handling correspondence, making travel plans, covering phones, and handling multiple administrative functions as needed.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answers and screens telephone calls and visitors.
• Tactfully handles inquiries and/or refers to appropriate party.
• Reviews and answers mail and inquiries and determines if Executive action is required.
• Refers routine matters to appropriate person for action and follows up to ensure completion.
• Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangements.
• Handles a wide variety of situations and tasks involving the clerical and administrative functions of the group.
• Helps coordinate paperwork necessary for approval within the executive team’s functions: programming, finance, marketing, and operations.
• Assists in special projects that reside within the group’s purview as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
• Excellent computer skills are a must, particularly spreadsheet software (Excel).
• Must have experience managing multiple executives' calendars and phones.
• Knowledge of PowerPoint is a plus.
• The ability to work independently, as well as function as part of a team, is required.
• Position must have the ability to work under pressure with little supervision in a fast-paced environment, be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and be willing to work overtime as required.
• A professional manner for interaction with internal/external high-level positions is necessary.
• Excellent communication, organizational and written skills are required.
• This person must be highly proficient in Outlook, organized, extremely detail oriented and possess strong follow-up skills.
