Company is looking for an Events Manager to join our growing team. This position specializes in conventions and events management, planning, marketing execution, and communications. This role would be a key member of the events team, work internally with different departments and externally with outside organizations and conventions, execute and contribute to marketing plans, as well as oversee different event initiatives year round. This person will be one of Company's face-to-face ambassadors to our fans at conventions and events. They would be required to use best judgment during different situations as they arise. A cool head, friendly disposition, attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and an affinity for anime and/or pop-culture is needed. Travel and working over weekends required.
Event Management:
• Lead communication for multiple key initiatives with conventions and events
• Contribute and execute marketing plans for different events nationwide
• Help manage Company booth promotions, staff, and logistics
• Communicate with fans about Company promotions, events, and service
• Planning and execution of event commerce and sales promotions
• Planning and execution of event guest appearances
• Work with events team to best promote Company and it’s IPs at events
• Work with events team to accomplish quarterly and YOY department goals
• Provide post-event report and analysis
• Travel to and from events
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with conventions, trade shows, or events management, marketing, and logistics
• Experience with conventions, trade shows, or event commerce marketing and sales promotions
• Knowledge of anime or pop-culture conventions and events
• Experience with guest and corporate relations management and planning
• Knowledge of convention center services
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with crowd control and line management
• Good at multitasking and situational management skills
• An understanding of stand-alone event planning and promotions
• Familiar with Microsoft and/or Google suites (Word, Excel, Docs, Sheets)
• Must be a driven self-starter who can consistently uncover areas for improvement
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, ability to interpret data to make decisions
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or CTSM certification
• Basic knowledge of Japanese business
• Strong copywriting skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Fluent in Japanese
