DESCRIPTION:
Company Radio Minneapolis is seeking a multi-talented individual with the drive and desire to help local businesses grow by utilizing Company Radio’s unique Live Events and Experiences portfolio of opportunities. The Event Sales Specialist will assist in the development, implementation, sales and execution of the portfolio of events. Ideal candidate can sell at the CEO and Marketing Director levels of major corporations. The ESS will report to the Director of Live Events and Experiences and work to renew current partnerships and develop new revenue opportunities. Qualified applicants should be dependable, demonstrate a positive attitude, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, possess good communications skills and have previous event sales and production experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Act as the company’s event sales expert in the complete suite of event, sponsorship and experiential marketing.
• Help facilitate inter-department (sales, programming, promotions, digital) communication and serve as a liaison to client, event venue, promoter and/or 3rd party partners.
• Identify and generate new event sales opportunities.
• Prospect (via phone and in person), close, and manage new relationships with local clients and partners seeking regional/local consumers via event, sponsorship and experiential marketing partnerships.
• Assist other sales professionals by being the stations expert in new event business generation.
• Attend client meetings and assist with presentations.
• Create and monitor project/event timelines, P&L expense management (if applicable), manage sponsor implementation into on-site execution, communicate sponsorship information to all relevant departments (programming, promotions, digital, sales, etc) and other administrative & fulfillment duties as assigned by the Director of Live Events & Experiences.
Work creatively to bring about awareness of event opportunities.
