Who We Are:
The Product Instrumentation and Experimentation (PIE) team’s mission is to enable fast, rigorous product experimentation and to provide automated tools to generate insights and understanding of users.
Our team is responsible for Company’s experimentation methodology and implementation as well as visualization and analysis tools that help teams understand user behavior. With our existing data-driven culture, experimentation is at the center of product decisions! The PIE team works with product, engineering, design and senior leadership to help increase our rate of innovation. We work with a wide variety of scalable open-source technologies including Hadoop, Presto, Scalding, Summingbird, and Spark just to name a few.
What You’ll Do:
You will lead a world-class team of engineers and data scientists on everything related to experimentation at Company. We’re looking for a hands-on, technical manager with a real passion for working on user-facing products.
Ideally, you'll be equally comfortable guiding the development and optimization of data pipelines, debating statistical methods for computing confidence intervals on metrics, establishing standard methodologies for product development across the organization, or discussing the metrics impact of product changes with senior leadership.
Who You Are:
• You're experienced in metrics and experiment-driven product development.
• Strong working knowledge of experiment statistics.
• You have experience with data platform and infrastructure, pipelines.
• You have a sense of urgency, move quickly and ship things.
• You're experienced with performance management, career development, etc.
• You can be a bold source of engineering talent and will be comfortable closing candidates.
Requirements:
• BA/BS or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
• Previously managed a team of 5 or more engineers
