The Company Consumer Marketing Development group is looking for an Email Marketing Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to create targeted, attractive, and compelling consumer-focused newsletters about Company books, authors, and content. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be motivated to find new opportunities to enhance and expand our email marketing programs with a focus on delivering engagement and conversion results.

Key Responsibilities
• Optimize life-cycle and drip campaigns for existing email marketing programs to maximize revenue and increase CLV
• Develop and enhance email marketing campaigns including planning, producing, segmenting, testing, deployment, reporting and optimization
• Assist the campaigns and marketing teams on acquisition initiatives to grow the consumer database with a focus on successfully on-boarding new subscribers
• Analyze reporting metrics and data from other analytical tools to make continual improvements to engagement and conversion rates
• Communicate performance and conversion metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis
• Leverage consumer database to identify and target consumer segments for specialized communications
• Coordinate with web and social marketing teams to foster effective cross-channel marketing efforts
• Ensure that Company newsletters meet legal requirements for consumer email communications
• Monitor industry trends and introduce new tools and ideas to increase performance and engagement
• Provide training, technical support, and best practices information to divisional marketers in using the email system
Desired Skills and Experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in digital marketing with a primary focus on email marketing; experience with managing automated email campaigns a plus
• Experience working with CRM systems and databases; SQL experience a plus
• Experience working with ESPs, knowledge of Experian Marketing Platform a plus
• Understanding of all aspects of newsletter production including working knowledge of HTML and CSS coding, as well as design and deliverability issues across ISPs
• Experience with web analytics and other reporting tools with the ability to effectively communicate performance metrics to key stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
• Strong project management, Excel, and communication skills
• Excellent written English, including spelling and grammar. Strong proofreading skills and high quality standards
• Enthusiasm about books and meeting the needs of readers
