POSITION SUMMARY:
The Education Brand Manager, Special Projects is a key player on the Brand Education team. In addition to managing Kendo brands, this role oversees many key cross-world projects from strategic planning through to high-level execution.
This role requires a detail-oriented, highly efficient self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, has a passion for product, and is familiar with the Company brand portfolio and/or in-store environment. The ideal candidate for this role also has a successful track record as a manager of people, as they will take on the development of two direct reports.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Brand Communication
• Create and archive team email communication for brands
• Optimize process, timelines and tracking on compliance for brand requests
Brand Education Video Owner
• As key brand education owner of video content, this role will oversee production and scripting of ongoing brand education created video content – including ongoing monthly video suite across all worlds.
• Support tracking of featured products and brands, recaps and sharing out to cross functional partners, establishing video feedback loop to continually optimize process and content for cast learning
Brand Education Team Process Innovation
• Create, optimize, and miplement Brand Manager tools, guidelines, and process documents to support brand education team workload optimization
• Oversee the ongoing expansion and updates for the Brand Education Portal website for brand partners
Multi-Branded Projects
• Company Brand Education Summit
◦ Brand communication, partner with Project Management on process, and develop clear brand guidelines for this highly visible event.
◦ Create tools to streamline process for brands, Brand Managers and EDU partners.
◦ Act as a key project liaison for Brand Education team
• Elevated Trainings (Encore, Artistry Lab, VIE Trainings, Clusters):
◦ Draft brand facing communication, create tools, support team communication,
◦ Act as a liaison for Brand Team to project managers and field education teams
• Merchandising Initiatives
◦ Support and solve for training on merchandise category initiatives such as luxury, New At Company, Scouted, etc in partnership with the Program Development team
Education Brand Management
• Owns Kendo brand portfolio (Ole Henrickson, BITE Beauty, Kat Von D, Marc Jacobs Beauty) as key education liaison to advise on total education strategy in close partnership with Company merchants and brand teams
• May take on additional brand portfolio as needed
People Management
Oversee the projects and development of two direct reports who function cross-world:
• Brand Education Coordinator – handles NSO and Relocation Scheduling and Support, Call Center Training Strategy and Invitations, Brand Education communication, Weekly Brand Education team meeting agenda and follow ups, Brand Contacts, Product and Comp Management
• Brand Video Specialist – oversees planning, scripting, and production of all Brand Education videos, partners with My Company Learning team to analyze and optimize video curriculum pathing for cast
General
• Supports various special brand team projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web based project management tools – primarily Smartsheet, Sign Up Genius, Squarespace
• People management skills and development experience
• Able to work in a team environment with collaborative personality
• A self-starter with high level of attention to detail and impeccable follow-through to drive for results
• Skilled communicator with specificity of language and interpersonal savvy
• Excellent organizational skills
• A solutions-focused creative problem solver
• Understanding of Company store environment and/or brands preferred
• For Internal Field Candidates only – Store Director level or higher preferred
