Background
Company is looking for someone who understands the art and science of creating short form content designed for the mobile feed. While attention spans are decreasing and time spent with mobile is increasing, many brands are still starting the creative process with traditional TV spots. Through various research Company has quantified that short form content is more effective at driving media metrics like completion rates and brand metrics like memory encoding. However, many brands still struggle to design content for the mobile and social feed. The role of Editor, Content Studio will be integral to helping brands optimize their assets to make content perform better on Company. You’ll be part of a dynamic creative team focused on elevating advertising for the biggest brand marketers in the world.
Responsibilities
• Edit and optimize brands’ video content to drive more impact for advertising campaigns
• Edit :30 and :60 video ads into :06 pre-roll that will run in front of premium content from publishing partners
• Translate brands’ :30 and :60 video ads into shorter form assets that will run throughout Company Promoted Video campaigns
• Leverage research based best practices to inform creative editing and optimization
• Adapt brands’ video assets into Company centric formats including GIFs, Cinemagraphs, Scratch Reels and Conversational Video
• Act as the go-to expert at Company for short form storytelling and turn expertise into educational resources for the Sales, Marketing and Brand Strategy.
• Create presentation material that that can bring the interactive Company experience to life in a dynamic way. Create mock-ups of the edited content that showcases the user experience on Company (i.e. scroll through the timeline, click on video, expand video)
• Design visual slides in Apple’s Keynote to be part of broader sales narrative
Requirements
• Skilled in the art of video storytelling with an understanding of of marketing mechanics
• Ability to enhance content post production via end frames, captions, motion graphics
• Knowledgeable of content trends across an evolving social and mobile media landscape
• Curious about what’s next in the content space and interested in applying new techniques to the editing process
• Open to prescriptive direction while having the ability to imagine new creative techniques
• Has an entrepreneurial spirit. Can anticipate questions and needs from internal sales executives, clients and agencies to work autonomously
• Ability to communicate directly with client partners to manage timelines and expectations
• Collaborative by nature - can work effectively with dozens of different Company account leads who support key marketing partners
• Responsive to real time requests and can work quickly within time constraints
• Organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Positive energy and calm under pressure
Experience / Technical Training
• 3+ years in video editing / production
• Trained in professional video editing software (i.e. After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Comfortable using presentation-building software including Keynote, Powerpoint and Google Slides
