We are on an aggressive search for an influential and dynamic Director for our Product Management team! In this role, the Director, provides strategic direction for multiple products targeting High School Mathematics.
Responsibilities may include identifying new market opportunities, setting business and market requirements for new programs, and working with the cross-functional team and pan-Company representatives to ensure a successful execution of the product line strategy.

Here is what you will get to do, and the impact you will have:
• Define long-term strategic plans and roadmap for product line(s)
• Plan and execute the business planning process for all new investments
• Participate in product planning and development work in collaboration with product development teams to ensure timely delivery of market leading offerings
• Provide driving product management leadership and direction for new products
• Maintain strong communication channels with Sales, Marketing, Development, and other functional departments
• Gather and analyze data to support the decision-making process for product plans
• Own and develop market requirements for Instructional Solutions product offerings
• Analyze financial performance of assigned product line(s) and under the guidance of the VP/Director manage the P&L’s for those product(s)
• Monitor and assess market and competitive trends and customer needs
• Develop, in collaboration with Marketing, strategies and materials to support Sales product knowledge
• Work with Product Development to prioritize competing requirements
• Provide leadership to ensure that the daily operations for the managing the product line are maintained
• Provide support and guidance for Associate Specialists or Product Managers as needed
Qualifications
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus
• 5-10 years in education or product management-related positions
• Proven experience effectively leading a cross-functional team where participants are not direct reports
• P&L responsibility; ability to develop and monitor
• Experience developing business cases for new products
• Knowledge of the K12 education industry
• Must have working knowledge of technology platforms, functionality and workflow
• Exceptional ability to communicate (verbal, written, digital) effectively and respectfully with a diverse group of professionals; managing priorities to meet deliverables
• Demonstrate proven ability to build product strategies and coherent business plans; oversee those products from conception through sales
• Must be a strategic thinker who can translate educational trends and customer needs into product solutions and market positioning
• Possess a strong track record of developing internal/external partnerships to the organization
• Ability to act as “customer expert” for the organization, drawing on a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace
• Flexible! Having the ability to analyze a series of competing priorities and determine the ideal outcome for the product line(s)
• Strong organizational skills; must handle multiple, complex projects in various stages of development and/or implementation at once
