E-Commerce Content Editor
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
This position is primarily responsible for integrating commerce within Company Digital properties and the commerce platform and creating an editorial strategy to maximize monetization through various outlets. This position will work closely with the e-commerce team, Editorial, and Company Digital to maximize commerce placements, grow the audience, and enhance the consumer brand experience.
II. Essential Job Functions
Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
50% ● Manage, assign, and produce commerce-related editorial content and see it through to completion.
● Assist in planning and executing commerce content strategy.
● Collaborate with digital editors and print editors to create quality commerce-enabled content.
● Collaborate with SEO team to develop best practices for creating content and include appropriate requirements and links to main-site content.
● Work with the Content Core Directors, print editors, and other digital editors to ensure product catalog, content, and experience is reflective of the brands associated with the storefronts.
25% ● Work with the newsletter team to analyze past performance and plan for future newsletter content. Assist in managing editorial newsletter process for storefronts.
25% ● Collaborate with social editors to include appropriate commerce mentions in order to contribute audience and traffic growth through social media.
● Coordinate with print editors to fully utilize redirects in each issue to maximize revenue while maintaining a consistent, on-brand editorial voice.
● Work closely with and train editors to include commerce related links within SEO articles, stories, and newsletters (decorating, holiday, etc.).

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Fashion, Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in writing, editing, marketing, and/or blogging for an online Publisher. Directly applicable internships may be considered in lieu of experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must haves:
● A strong interest and background in the Home/Holiday/Fashion/Beauty/Parents/Fitness categories
● Excellent writing and editing skills
● A strong knowledge of online media
● A strong knowledge of search engine optimization
● Ability to work well as part of a cross-functional team
Helpful:
• E-commerce or retail experience
• Social media marketing experience
• Online marketing experience
