Director Supply Chain Planning & Production
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Supply Chain Planning will be responsible for identifying and projecting capacity/allocation strategies to optimize the business objectives. He or she will support the Supply Chain Planning team in achieving business performance objectives, by focusing on deliverables within the necessary timelines and flexibility to support Calvin Klein brand strategies. He or she will also execute to meet business objectives and goals, by establishing best practice and course of action for challenges and opportunities as well as assess business needs to maximize the use of resources driving change through the KPI indicators. He or she will interact with suppliers and US team for capacity planning, and support Supply Chain Optimization initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
• Prepare and communicate rolling capacity plans to management.
• Identify and develop vendor/capacity strategies.
• Establish required capacities with vendors as per the vendor sourcing strategy.
• Support Supply Chain Optimization initiatives. Lead projects to support Supply Chain Optimization as necessary.
• Work with the US Demand, Production and Inventory teams to even out production flow of order placement to maximize the efficiency with suppliers.
• Effectively communicate with relevant parties and vendor base through email and when required through video conference.
• Work with demand planning teams to understand selling activity and identify potential shifts in demand; collectively decide on how that may impact current and future production capacity.
• Actively manage individual contributors, taking accountability for their development
• Actively impart knowledge among cross functional teams regarding team responsibilities and work
• Identify key areas of development required by others in organization to ensure success of team
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
• 10+ years industry experience required. Apparel Manufacturing.
• Experience managing direct reports
Education:
• University degree Diploma required
• Master’s Degree a plus
Skills:
• People management skills
• Expertise in product knowledge and manufacturing.
• Proven experience working in apparel factories in production.
• Sound knowledge in garment production: construction, cutting, sewing and finishing.
• Experience in working with retail and direct imports.
• Analytical and problem solving ability.
• High integrity and business ethics.
• Good communication and persuasive skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Team Player
• Able and willing to travel as required.
