POSITION SUMMARY:
This position monitors and drives the disciplined execution of company-wide transformational projects to ensure strategic, financial, and operational objectives are achieved. The position also supports the CSO in other key strategic endeavours, noticeably in the formulation of the NUSA’s strategic plan and Operational Master Plan (OMP).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Insight & Planning
• Monitor the marketplace to indentify and assess key consumer and industry trends that can inform NUSA’s strategy and operational plans. Assess strategic opportunities and competitive threats.
• Support the CSO in the formulation and tracking of the market’s strategy and OMP. Provide ongoing support in driving NUSA’s strategic agenda and aligning it both internally and externally.
• Perform strategic and economic analyses on new business opportunities, including support to pre and post M&A activities.
• Assess business model options and seize market trends to substantiate long-term business prospects.
• Deep understand of key drivers of shareholder value creation and how they influence companies’ portfolio strategy and business model design.
Project Management & Delivery
• Manage the overall delivery, under the supervision of the department Head, of NUSA-wide strategic projects in the areas of: 1) commercial acceleration / business development; 2) organizational model redesign; 3) margin / ROI optimization;. In doing so, she/he establishes the transformational journey plan and processes while having an attention to detail for overall delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing, insights, manufacturing and finance to determine their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
• Set and communicate project priorities to NUSA’s C-suite, and drive the project teams to meet commitments and expedite key business decisions. Monitor the results of individual projects and provides the rigor and control necessary to stay on course and correct for deviations from plan. Ensure the projects deliver against ROIC-enhancing value metrics.
• Monitor project timelines, milestones, and resource usage and program-level risks and mitigation.
People Coordination and Change Management
• Mobilize cross functional/divisional teams on a project basis.
• Liaise with the ELT/BLT to expedite decision making for C-suite strategic business decisions. Monitor stakeholder expectations and takes corrective action to address gaps
• Engage with ELT/BLT to achieve adoption and support for best practices on transformational journey concepts.
• Act as a ‘change agent” within her/his projects, balancing between collaborative consensus building and the need to ‘push and stretch’ NUSA to change.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of related work experience in any of these relevant functions: marketing, sales, finance, supply chain, portfolio management, strategic planning, business development is required. >5 years experience in a top strategy consulting firm or investment bank is required, with experience in corporate strategy and business development (including M&A)
• The incumbent should have knowledge of overall value chain process with experience in the following areas is required: Business Strategy, Business Development, Margin Optimization, Program Management and Change Management.
• Marketplace knowledge to include consumer, customer, and business models is required.
• Previous experience in strategic planning, project planning, team/resource management, process design and implementation, and business integration is required. Highly developed expertise in strategy development, including project formulation, hypotheses development, financial and business modeling, strategic options identification, consensus building and implementation.
• Strong analytical, project and change management skills to provide solid business conclusions and recommendations.
• International experience within CPG (or adjacent industries) is considered a critical advantage.

• Track record of top-performance in different business contexts, with an entrepreneurial “can-do” attitude.
• Proven track record of meeting transformational project objectives by successfully managing, tracking and implementing successful projects in regards to scope, quality, time and cost.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for communicating complex business problems in simple terms that are relevant to different levels of the organization, including NUSA’s C-suite.
• Project Management Training is preferred.
• Demonstrated business acumen and above-average interpersonal/influencing skills.
• Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve, effectively prioritize and drive processes.
