Purpose & Overall Relevance in the Organization
The goal of the eCommerce (eCom) team is to deliver one integrated consumer journey to create a premium and seamless experience so that we not only meet their expectations, but also exceed them while meeting our targets when a consumer leaves our touch point.
Position Summary
As the Strategy & Analytics Director, you will oversee the creation and planning of the localized eCom
strategy within adidas Japan and drive this strategy from creation to flawless execution. The Strategy & Analytics Director will also play a key role in identifying key compliance gaps with global eCom strategic plans in the adidas Japan eCom business and create action plans to address these gaps to drive efficiencies. In order to be successful in this role, the Strategy & Analytics Director is an expert at managing project plans from start to finish and are able to effectively handle multiple stakeholder relationships so that delivery of key initiatives are completed in time and delivered with exceptional quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the creation of local eCom strategy based on data/fact to drive incremental revenue and ensure alignment with the global eCom strategy
• Identify key areas of driving efficiencies and results within the business and those of potential business gains, and create plans to address the opportunities and risks
• Manage your own key business development projects from concept to execution
• Establish a standard data based approach, an effective communication, and training methodology to the eCom team for the strategic and agile implementation
• Drive the eCom data analytics team to measure and track the impact of the completed plans on the business vs. target. (*Note: Strategic projects include global initiatives and local strategic projects to achieve our adidas Japan eCom Vision.)
• Communicate all eCom key informations to all key members with the aim of driving flawless planning and execution as well as that of leveraging eCom knowledge through key stakeholders within the company
• Establish a high performance culture and drive employee engagement, leading by example
• Identify and develop high-potential talents to fuel the succession plan in the team
• Plan and manage large budgets across channels while achieving high volume growth targets
• Lead and steer major assignments and/or projects toward department goals based on the organization strategy, and contribute to the achievement of department results with direct, significant impact
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Expert knowledge of the industry, market trends, marketing strategies, and data system
• Possess strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and ability to query database, Data driven, with experience
• Tactical and logical thinker able to synthesize knowledge, data, and experiences to develop and communicate solid conclusions and recommendations with considerable judgement and initiative
• Handle a wide range of complex assignments and/or projects with at least regional responsibility and in depth knowledge and judgement
• Have excellent interpersonal skills to build successful relationships with internal and external business partners in all levels of an organization
• Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and MicroStrategy
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Similar Discipline
• Minimum 6 years of working experience in a leading role in an eCommerce environment
• Strong experience in strategic data analysis, number-driven senior management, and relevant technology platforms such as Google & Adobe
• 3+ year experience of leading, managing, and motivating others directly and indirectly
• Have proven experiences of recruiting and developing teams
• Ideally have experience of working internationally and in settings requiring cross-cultural sensitivity
• Experience in consumer products, retail, or service industry
• Excellent English skills and Fluent Japanese preferred
