Leads the Retail Innovation team in development of retailer centric insights based in-store solutions that drive the intersection of the needs of our retailers, our brands and our platforms. Oversees the business case including P&L, budget and analytics as well as the design, creative development and execution of in-store retail centric solutions. Responsible for a team of employees, on-site contractors, agencies and suppliers, as well as integrating with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Procurement, Master Data, Supply Planning and Warehousing. In addition, the Director leads the annual and long-term Shopper Marketing plan for the Natural Channel in collaboration with Sales and Customer Strategy Planning to define and activate against Key Joint Business Planning Initiatives while delivering Company's Annual Operating Plan.
Position Responsibilities
• Drive shopper consideration early upstream in Brands’ annual operating plan, Brands’ long term strategy as well as Brands’ integrated marketing plans
• Collaborate with our Insights & Analytics and Category Leadership teams to gain understanding of brand shopper insights (trips, drivers, barriers, share of voice, etc.) in order to identify opportunities by channel/customer
• Utilize strong marketing skills to develop winning strategies that enable profitable volume growth and build brand equity
• Manage external agency resources (Advertising/Marketing/Promotional)
• Develop and execute annual plan that delivers customer or brand team objectives through collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to drive consumer/shopper insights into actionable platforms and programs
• Demonstrated ability to drive thought leadership with key stakeholders to influence behaviors and impact outcomes
• Demostrate general management mindset through effective business and budget management
• Strong presentation development and communication skills
• Knowledge of in-store displays/marketing tools and the role they play in creating end to end marketing/merchandising programs
• Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• 7+ years of Brand, Agency, Shopper and/or Integrated Marketing experience
• Consumer packaged goods experience required, ideally in food manufacturing. Previous Field Shopper Marketing experience a strong plus
• Prior experience planning and executing marketing programs which leverage multiple media vehicles
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to function effectively in a team environment and to present in front of high-level customer decision makers
• Strategic thought leader who can confidently develop long term plans while also quickly addressing immediate near term requests
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple groups and functions in a highly matrixed organization
• Proven ability to work with multiple teams and influence cross-functional partners
