Director, Product Management - Trailhead
Trailhead is the fun way to learn Company. It's modular, social and gamified.
As a Product Manager on Team Trailhead, you will be responsible for envisioning a holistic end-to-end learning experience for our customer trailblazers. Trailhead has set the industry-standard for a learning experience and you'll take those principles of fun, empowerment and delight and apply them to all learning properties in the Company ecosystem, including, but not exclusive of, the Help & Training site, Success Community, the developer and admin websites, and Trailhead. You will be responsible for defining the strategy and guiding principles around branding, UI/UX, identity, and search for delivering a consistent learning experience across all these properties.
You Will:
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to rationalize the various learning properties and design a cohesive and empowering learning experience for Company customers across the multiple properties.
• Define the strategy and guiding principles around branding, UI/UX, identity, and search for delivering a consistent learning experience across all Company properties.
• Help determine the execution strategy, dependencies, and timeline for the agreed upon vision.
• Design a learning experience that's optimized for the specific context - do I need help with a specific task, or do I want to skill up.
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and content authors to craft a delightful and scalable learning solution
You may be fit for this role if you:
• Are passionate about learning and love seeing the 'a-ha' moment of delight when a learner groks something for the first time.
• Are collaborative and can work with multiple stakeholders (across various learning sites/properties) to define a common, shared vision for learning at Company.
• See 'cooks in the kitchen' as an opportunity to canvas multiple viewpoints and ideas to improve the learning recipe.
• Start with the learner's UX and then work backwards from there.
• You can think in terms of the big picture, but deliver on the details
• You regard Ben Horowitz's Good Product Manager/Bad Product Manager thesis as your personal bible.
• Believe that shipping is a feature.
Required skills:
• Strong user experience/design sense
• Proven track record of collaborating across functions and org charts and getting executive buy-in
• Ability to manage by influence and not exclusively via the org chart
• Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies.
• 5+ years of Product Management experience.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field. MBA Preferred.
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience in content development and/or content strategy
• Prior experience in the eLearning/education vertical.
• Prior Company knowledge or experience.
• Experience working/engaging with the Company community of developers, admins, partners and users.
