Description
We currently have an opportunity within the Product Data Operations RTB Projects team in Baltimore. This team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Product Data Changes, New Product Enablement?s and enhancements for the firm. The candidate will report to the Product Data Operations RTB Projects team leader in London and have diverse responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
• Coordination of securities reference data changes across the Firm including detailed analysis of both Firm and vendor requirement working with technology to deliver these items.
• Acquiring an intricate knowledge of the Firm?s product data, flow of the data in the firm systems.
• Acting as a point of escalation for projects being managed in the North America region.
• Partnering with the Product Data Operations control team on changes which could impact the day-to-day running of their team
• Identifying and implementing process improvements as well as contributing to the ongoing change projects impacting the wider Product Data Operations team.
• Identification, mitigation, escalation and reporting of potential/current risks.
• Engaging with stakeholders across multiple business units (incl. trading desks, risk, production management, business analysts and IT development) and data vendors (incl. Reuters, Bloomberg and SmartStream) to capture requirements and communicate status on upcoming data changes, new product enablement's and enhancements.
• Ensuring that data procedures are in place and initiate procedure changes to improve the data service level
Qualifications
Skills required (essential)
• Bachelors Degree (minimum GPA 3.0)
• Over 5 years of experience in financial services.
• Good understanding of securities reference data (e.g. Fixed Income, Equities, Listed Derivatives, Pricing).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly digest new information and learn new businesses and processes.
• Ability to think strategically and provide insight into how to improve existing business and technology processes.
• Result-focused mindset.
Skills desired
• Additional degree in profession courses CFA/CPA/CA will be beneficial.
• Experience of working with remotely located teams and clients.
• Good understanding of external data vendor feeds (e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters).
• Experience of working with large datasets or using Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tools to analyse data.
• Ability to work well under pressure, lending control and order to a difficult or pressurized situation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
