POSITION SUMMARY:
A leadership role responsible for developing, supporting, and improving key capabilities across organizations running Procure to Pay (P2P) processes. Reporting to a P2P Process Owner(s) in the P2P Center of Excellence, the position scope can be across one or multiple sub processes (Sourcing, Direct Procurement, Indirect Procurement, Third Party Manufacturing Procurement/Supplier Integration, and Accounts Payable).
The position interfaces and integrates across any combination of internal customer and external partner organizations including but not limited to Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Legal, GIS, Procurement, and the external Supply Base in order to foster value realization, working capital improvement, continuous process improvement, transaction efficiency, and service improvement. To achieve this, the incumbent will work closely with mid-level leadership across functions to identify capability priorities, agree on plans to achieve these priorities, and lead implementation across functions, brands, regions, and affiliates. Change Management initiatives will encompass process, technology, organization design, metrics, and reporting capabilities globally. Lastly, the position will serve as a leader for P2P education and development for both internal procurement and external ELC partners, as well as all other ELC employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the P2P COE, Procurement, GIS, and business stakeholders, facilitate and implement transformation initiatives (RACI, policy, technology, process). Leverage best practice project management and communication skills to deliver initiative on time.
Ensure the use of best practices through the integration of technology and processes affecting pricing, quality, transactional cycle times, and process services levels across areas such as, but not limited to, sourcing, contract management, tactical procurement, and accounts payable.
Develop and improve financial and productivity processes in the Global Procurement organization, utilizing continuous improvement and performance management techniques, resulting in accurate and timely data, reports, and dashboards.
Support integration of spend management tools including spend management system, Supplier Performance Management, Risk Management, SharePoint, Productivity tracking and others into standard process and tools for a total procurement solution.
Collects and structures feedback and requirements to shape the development of future state of Procurement operating models in alignment with key corporate business objectives and trends as part of the design change.
Facilitating evaluation of major Procurement project initiatives and working with key stakeholders to identify resource constraints, process improvements, metrics, and people accountability.
Identifying and developing plans which strengthen process adoption and value realization.
Develop and maintain training materials as required. Deliver training and support, applicable to all levels of management and staff.
Work closely and directly with regions and affiliates on process strategy to improve Procurement efficiency, transaction accuracy,
and service levels.
Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize procurement goals and objectives.
Be able to identify and facilitate process change by highlighting the needs and benefits to all key stakeholders in a cooperative manner.
Improve the Vendor Master and vendor set-up process and partner with IT, where appropriate, to deliver solutions, enhancements and process automation.
Ongoing Supply Chain Education for self -improvement
Participate in Procurement trade group workshops and conferences to develop a network of global buyers and obtain benchmarking as it relates to industry reports and or process enhancement.
Qualifications
◦ Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to work with all levels of the organization. Must be able to create executive communications in order to properly set expectations, present findings and make recommendations
◦ Ability to work effectively and assertively while working both independently and in a project team environment. Facilitation and cross-functional process development skills.
◦ Experience in defining and deploying technology solutions including understanding customer needs, defining scope of work, identify internal and external stakeholders and being able to develop quantitative and qualitative benefits.
◦ Strong analytical skills
◦ Expert Level in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, etc.
◦ Strong SAP (ECC) systems exposure is a plus.
