Oversee the production of all athletic multimedia content.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
producing multimedia content, including video board content, coaches shows, television ads, and social media video packages; writing scripts; producing highlight videos, game day videos, hype videos; overseeing and scheduling the streaming of all home athletic events; maintaining all video equipment; recommending new video equipment as needed; handle all media, institution and internal requests for footage; and coordinate video archives for each sport.
Further, the position is responsible driving continuous process improvement in video services, adopting new technologies as appropriate. The Director for Video Content Services will work closely with the Director of Athletics, Senior Associate AD for External Operations and Senior Assistant AD for Public Relations to ensure complete coverage of Oakland University Athletics.
The Director for Video Content Services will oversee the Gameday Producer for all live streamed events and the crew for each live game production on ESPN3. This person will be the point of contact for all external broadcasts (ESPN, TV20, ASN).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Knowledge of various post production tools and live production set-up, equipment and software.
Ability to work with on-air talent for various athletic contests and video packages.
Ability to manage several tasks and/or projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer service.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference and University rules.
