Responsibilities
The Director Security (Radio City & Beacon Theater) is responsible for the overall Security operation at both locations. This position reports to the SVP Security.
• Responsible for the safety and security of the Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre and surrounding areas, and event security team.
• Manage and supervise security supervisors, managers, security officers, street patrol, all event driven and building security staff.
• Responsible for all administrative documentation inclusive of incident reporting, security SOPs, policies and processes, performance, evaluation and training, and venue specific emergency response plans to include the testing of same.
• Maintain, evaluate and manage the CCTV and Access Control systems at both venues, identify and document deficiencies and vulnerabilities and work with the General Manager and SVP, Security for any system enhancement requests to ensure the system is aligned with company standards and leveraging the latest technologies. Ensure security staff is properly training on these systems to ensure expected results.
• Establish and execute a comprehensive quality and assurance oversight of the security programs at both the Radio City Music Hall and Beacon Theatre, ensuring staff is adhering to policy and standards.
• Maintain ID card stock and access control systems while managing the vendor relationship.
• Provide executive level oversight of the security for the Rockettes during all events local and outside the immediate New York metro area. This oversight includes responsibility for creating security plans and threat management for all members of the Rockettes.
• Develop a close collaborative relationship with NYPD, FBI, DHS and other authorities. Manage and monitor the security program budget for both venues.
• Adopt industry best practices for emergency preparedness and continuity of operations.
• Incorporate training protocols that continuously develop employees, as well as address their perishable skills.
• Collaborate with other Company venues such as the Arena, Beacon & Chicago properties to ensure consistency and “Best Practices” with safety, security procedures and preparedness.
• Develop, implement and manage an annual security training schedule.
• Manage the development, implementation and continuous refinement of physical/facilities security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security protocols.
• Manage the venue-based security command centers at both locations and ensure alignment with corporate guidelines and requirements.
• Ensure alignment of physical, investigation, intelligence, crisis management, executive protection and cyber security functional capabilities with corporate guidelines.
• Perform security and risk assessments of facilities, including security equipment condition and provide summary of needed improvements to senior management.
• Conduct, supervise and prepare reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a senior level law enforcement or other security management role with a focus on the operations of special events or live event environment or theater with a focus on exceptional customer service and safety.
• Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred. Bachelor degree highly preferred
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach and present an uplifting personality while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and business ethics.
• Extensive experience and liaison and networks with federal, state, local and other city, state, and private sector entities.
• Proven ability to assess, develop and successfully execute strategic internal and external security plans and quickly adapt to change as required by events.
• Ability to compile and execute company and departmental standard operating procedures and procedures (SOP’s).
• Demonstrated past experience working alongside C-Suite Executives.
• Ability to effectively articulate security and budgetary initiatives and represent same to executive leadership.
• Extensive conflict management skillsets with resolution ability.
• Must have the ability to develop team members and effectively grow a security program.
• Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational and time management skills required.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
• PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Passion for providing outstanding guest experience Must have the ability to work independently when necessary, and use sound business judgment.
• Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy and a commitment to company values, and principles while ensuring the upmost consistency.
• Skilled at working collaboratively and in a team environment

• Knowledge of CCTV, surveillance equipment, access control systems, alarms and radio communications preferred.

Education
