Position Summary:
Director of Sales, Asia is responsible for managing and developing Hourglass sales activities in Asia.
Job Responsibilities:
Director of Sales, Asia is responsible for business development of retail sales and net shipments goals, developing, presenting and executing marketing and merchandising plans, development of budgets and P&L, staff management, education and recruitment, inventory, management press events and PR distribution training tools.
The job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Manage all business plans for Asian distribution (Sephora Asia/Asia retailers and others): planning, inventory, P&L, identifying new business to increase distribution and meet sales goals.
Research the possibility of new distribution in Asia by analyzing market potential; estimating volume and profit potential, and preparing sales forecasts.
Develop and implement sales strategies to successfully launch and grow sales, especially related to existing markets.
Maintain close relationships with key customers by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and resolving problems. Implementing marketing calendars for each market.
Build and manage field sales team, which includes: hiring, training sales coordinators within budget.
Develop educational materials and training modules along with educating retail staff.
Act as brand ambassador in Asia.
Liaise with US Team on product development processes, requirement for Asia market, weekly conference calls and updates; develop marketing tools to support growth.
Coordinate merchandising – fixtures, fixture updates and testers replenishment.
Job Requirements:
5 – 7 years industry cosmetics background; in-store experience is required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong proficiency with Outlook and MS-Office is necessary – including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Travel to US office twice per year
Strong leadership qualities
Firm understanding of International pricing and sales structure
Strong cross-cultural, international sales experience
Proven record of problem solving and decision making skills
