We are looking for an experienced and creative business development leader to translate Company’s growth strategy into impactful and exciting partnership initiatives. You will be developing and implementing a partnership strategy across Company’s target markets, catering to millions of video professionals, businesses, and viewers around the world. You will work directly with senior leaders and internal teams to bring new partnerships to market, shape the future of online video by providing product roadmap input, collaborate with exciting brands in the space, and evangelize Company’s offering to the entire partner ecosystem.
What you’ll do:
• Develop a partnership strategy for Company’s growth in the Martech, filmmaking/post-production, and/or media/OTT verticals
• Launch partnership programs and integrations that drive new customer acquisition
• Create a repeatable end-to-end partnership development process to identify target partners, negotiate contracts, coordinate integrations, and track performance
• Own all partner marketing activities and joint go-to-market plans, including speaking at industry events to evangelize joint offerings
• Package Company’s API offering to drive quantity and quality of 3rd party integrations
• Religiously analyze performance and impact of partnership initiatives for continuous optimization
• Constantly explore new technologies and industries for new opportunities outside of Company’s traditional target markets
• Work with partners on promoting Company’s product launches to their user base and vice versa
• Internally communicate partnerships plans and performance to align relevant stakeholders and teams behind your initiatives
• Work cross-functionally with product, API/engineering, marketing, legal, and PR teams to launch new partnerships
• Work with Company’s brand marketing team on high impact brand partnership opportunities
• Scale Company’s partnerships website to drive value for Company users and partners
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with business development in the video and/or SaaS space (ideally in both B2B and B2C)
• A proven leader and a self-starter who can independently lead both strategy and execution, get internal buy-ins, and communicate effectively up and down
• Hands-on experience in the Martech (marketing technology) space, and deep understanding of the various players in the ecosystem
• Demonstrated success launching and scaling partnership programs, including a partner marketplace, reseller/referral programs, agency programs, etc.
• Experience in partner marketing and brand partnerships
• Excellent presentation skills, as the role will require speaking in partner events
• Experience working cross-functionally, rallying product management, engineering and marketing teams behind partnership initiatives and integrations
• Technology background or proven strong technical abilities allowing you to understand and articulate complex technical aspects of potential technology integrations
• Insane attention to detail and organization skills, with ability to toggle between high-level, long-term strategies and ground-level, short-term tasks effortlessly
• Experience building a business development team in a SaaS company and managing business development professionals
• Experience working with agencies is a strong plus
• Familiarity with video post-production technologies, including video editing software, workflow tools, cameras, and new formats like 360 video is a strong plus
• Familiarity with the media and OTT space is a strong plus
• Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% of the time
