The Big West Conference, a Division I conference located in Irvine, California, seeks candidates for the position of the Director of Compliance/Institutional Services.
The position reports directly to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Institutional Services and will work closely with the Assistant Director of Institutional Services.
This position will serve as the primary compliance contact for the conference office.
Primary duties include:
1. Provide interpretations of NCAA and Big West Conference legislation.
2. Serve as the primary liaison to the Campus Compliance Administrators.
3. Schedule and organize conference calls and meetings of compliance administrators and other appropriate constituents.
4. Create weekly compliance newsletter.
5. Direct comprehensive rules education programming related to NCAA and Big West Conference rules and regulations.
6. Assist in Conference governance, including updating of Conference manuals.
7. Oversee processing of NCAA and Big West Conference waivers.
8. Review and approve campus policies and procedures.
9. Monitor and manage records related to NCAA and Conference compliance programs.
10. Other duties, including assistance with other conference projects, events and championships, as assigned.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential matters and materials.
• Applicants should have a strong knowledge of and demonstrated interest in intercollegiate athletics. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules required.
• Travel, along with evening and weekend hours occasionally required.
NOTES:
Additional Salary Information: Compensation will be commensurate with Experience.
Benefits include employer paid health, dental and vision insurance after a maximum 60 day waiting period.
Participation in employer contributed profit sharing program begins January 1 after completing 12 months of service.
Ten vacation days each calendar year beginning January 1.
