University of South Dakota Director of Compliance position is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director. The Director of Compliance is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the compliance office. Duties include: interpretations for coaches & staff; research & process waiver requests & violations; update & revise policy manuals & forms in accordance with NCAA rule changes; monitoring recruiting activities, awards & benefits and countable activity logs; official & unofficial visits; camps and clinics; updating and maintaining NCAA Compliance Assistant (CA) & Jump Forward software; tracking financial aid, playing and practices seasons, initial & transfer eligibility, amateurism, recruiting and NCAA reporting requirements; tracking initial eligibility of all incoming freshmen student-athletes with the NCAA Eligibility Center; core course evaluations; roster management; conducting rules education sessions for coaches and student-athletes; other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:
• bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
• at least two years of experience working in athletic compliance
• knowledge of and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations
• previous experience using NCAA applications (LSDBi, Compliance Assistant, NCAA Eligibility Center, NLI, RSRO, etc.) & compliance software
• ability to work effectively in the athletic department environment
• strong organization skills and attention to detail
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
