The Emerging Brands team works with CPG brands ranging from $1M - $1B in revenue. Emerging Brands encompass high growth, slow growth, stagnant, decline, new and/or legacy brands and businesses. Company’s value proposition is to make the complex simple and to covert marketing dollars spent into actual sales by leveraging the world’s largest shopper database, coupled with unparalleled in-depth insights and experience, to nimbly connect with customers to understand and grow our customers’ businesses.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Aggressively hunts and sells in new business
• Drives entire sales cycle from securing meetings with senior-level (C-Level) decision-makers, needs analysis, program and presentation development, sale and renewal, with new prospect accounts.
• Drives CPG customer sales through demonstration of omni capabilities (mobile, digital and print marketing)
• Acts as a trusted advisor to our CPG clients and their media agencies to create consumer marketing campaigns that maximize Return on Investment.
• Identifies and prioritizes new business prospects to deliver maximum sales results
• Ensures seamless transition to account management
• Develops and executes annual territory business plan
• Leverages Shopper Insights to identify client business opportunities
• Creatively positions and communicates advertising and promotion solutions aligned with client business opportunities
• Understands the clients annual planning process and is a strategic partner by having a seat at the planning table.
• Accurately forecasts, tracks, and reports revenue.
• Consistently exceeds quarterly revenue targets by selling multi-channel media solutions.
• Keeps current on CPG industry and digital media landscape.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
• BA/BS degree. Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years successful Brand Management and/or outside Sales experience within the CPG eco-system focused on Promotions or Advertising.
• Professional but aggressive hunter’s instinct and proven success selling in new business-to-business
• Working knowledge of products, media, promotions, sales, shopper and analytics within a CPG.
• Proven success with new account selling to Senior-Level decision-makers.
• Ability to develop senior-level, trust and performance-based relationships by identifying products/services and cross-sell opportunities that best meet client’s needs
• Passionate about selling and creating value for customers, deep understanding of marketing, media buying, and client ROI.
• Self-motivated, creative, results driven, solution oriented, direct and convincing when it’s right for the customer.
• Ability to remain focused and adaptable during rapid change.
• Solid computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience working with CPG industry and digital customer/consumer data.
• Excellent references (recent and relevant) from both former clients and employers.
• Strong digital skills a must (media, promotion, on-line and mobile, shopper and analytics)
• Strong analytical skills
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ideal candidate will have experience in digital, social or mobile marketing Sales.
