The Director, National Asset Protection defines the luxury lifestyle shopping experience through building lasting relationships with our people, customers and partners by pro-actively developing, recommending, implementing and monitoring asset protection strategies.
The Director, National Asset Protection will provide leadership, guidance and specialized knowledge to Company; while developing leading-edge capabilities and technology to protect all assets of the organization.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Develop and lead complex cross-functional strategies to address and develop recommendations for major opportunities and issues in Asset Protection. Includes:
◦ Demonstrating thought-leadership
◦ Ensuring solutions are based on strong analytics and insights
◦ Ensuring the path to move from strategy to execution is clearly laid out
◦ Presenting findings and recommendations in a compelling way at an executive level
• Develop, implement and monitor Asset Protection strategies to meet company objectives, i.e.
◦ CCTV Cameras
◦ Finger Scanning
◦ Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS)
◦ Compliance audits
◦ Sales audit exception reporting
• Partner with operations and educate on Asset Protection
• Update policies and procedures for the Leadership Guide
• Ensure integrity and interpretation of inventory analysis - in order to measure the effectiveness of various Asset Protection programs
• Strategize actions plans for paperwork errors and fraudulence
• Act as an internal auditor and informally monitor the inventory accounting group
• Educate store management and operations on inventory analysis reports and accuracy reports
• Maintain or improve the shrink rate threshold annually
• Constantly analyze above for customer service friendliness
• Continue to design and develop internal and external dishonesty interventions
• Maintain strong partnerships with the Information Technology group
• Provide exact cost retrieved to the business
• Provide General Managers cycle counts seven times a year
• Direct project/event/initiative implementations including the creation of critical paths, monitoring of progress, development of launch materials, communication and results tracking
• Manage conflicting priorities to deliver highest value initiatives that support key business objectives while respecting organizational capacity
• Effectively influence cross-functional teams for Asset Protection , defining the operational skills, processes and environment required to meet Asset Protection needs and achieve overall strategic goals
• Participate in the development of annual expense budgets and achieve all expense management targets
• Complies with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
• Lead, motivate, and retain a team of high performing employees that is capable of delivering results
The ideal candidate:
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of post-university work experience, including a minimum of 5+ years leading a business unit or enterprise-wide strategy
• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done
• Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
• Confident and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
• Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
