Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and executing North America marketing programs and strategies for key retail categories including Hair Care, Skin Care, Body Care, Make-up and Aroma to drive results and increase market share, sales and profitability within the North America affiliate.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop effective retail marketing programs using digital transformation to close the loop
• Create 360 degree retail marketing campaigns to drive traffic to retail locations with a focus on sell-through
• Regionalize marketing plan including creative messaging, collateral and animation
• Build retail marketing plans for eventing including trial and sampling, services and experiences
• Create effective execution strategies including guest experiences, beauty advisor engagement activities and in-store execution tools
• Analyze and understand in detail the “why” behind the results and formulate action plans on how to accelerate, partner with senior leadership regarding strategic changes as necessary
• Provide strategies for merchandising and category management within the retail channel
• Oversee product and category planning, including limited life, discontinuation and out of stock management
• Present and communicate retail marketing programs to key stakeholders as needed
• Responsible for effectively managing the NA Retail budget by providing accurate estimates and cost savings solutions
• Align with overall NA marketing strategies to ensure a consistent guest experience across all Aveda channels
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
8 years progressive experience in Sales & Marketing
Other:
• Demonstrated leadership experience in Marketing within a multi-channel environment
• Exceptional leadership skills including strategic planning and an entrepreneurial business approach
• An entrepreneurial spirit including the ability to make decisions as if the business were one’s own
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic marketing plans that drive sales results
• Strong financial acumen including the ability to create, understand and analyze financial and sales reports
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including ability to write content and copy
• Strong presentation skills including the ability to present to large audiences
• Ability to adapt quickly to meet the demands of the business
• Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
• Ability to travel, lift up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis and transport own luggage while traveling
