As Company continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a leader for our marketing planning & analysis team in Los Angeles (Hollywood). Marketing leadership relies heavily on the Marketing Planning & Analysis team to shape strategy and inform important business decisions with actionable data-driven insights.
In this role, you will need to be a visionary leader who will build, manage, and mentor a highly analytical, strategic problem solving team to partner with Marketing and other cross functional partners, particularly the Global Marketing Operations and Global Creative Marketing functions. As a leader who will not only partner with colleagues in the LA office but also many technical colleagues in our North California headquarters, as well as colleagues in International colleagues in regional offices.
Company needs a self-starter, who is able to work effectively, autonomously and drive strategy and effective decisioning with the Global Marketing Ops and Creative teams and cross-functionally with Content Planning & Analysis, Consumer Insights, Data Science & Engineering, Science & Algorithms, Communications, Product Management, etc. You must cultivate a strong partnership with the leadership Global Marketing Operations and Global Creative teams. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results as an individual and a team leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible building and leading the Marketing Planning and Analysis function for the marketing of Company Content from creative to operations. You and your team will:
• Provide insights and build tools to understand external and internal signals for Content demand and potential performance, example key workstreams include:
• Conduct market research, track and compile industry trends and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies
• Be the executive business partner on building models that predict title demand and performance
• Communicate to executive and other internal audiences on title performance and align the company on what success means
• Develop core business metrics to facilitate better insights on content marketing and overall title performance
• Develop new methods for measuring organic interest level in our originals titles
• Partner with Marketing and Communications executives to drive efficiency and scale in marketing in many countries globally with an ever growing number of titles, example key workstreams include:
• Partner with marketing executives to develop and drive scale in our marketing planning - designing more efficient processes and tools to help scale our global growth
• Analyze the processes and costs by which marketing assets are designed (e.g. video and digital materials) and work with Product stakeholders to improve with operational efficiencies
• Design automation tools to provide global reporting on our increasing number of originals marketing campaigns
You personally must be an inspiring leader that will hire, manage, and mentor a high performing team. You must be an objective trusted advisor to the marketing executives and other leaders in the Hollywood headquarters - blending data driven insights and sound judgement to help challenge and solve marketing problems. As we increasingly grow our machine learning and advanced digital programmatic marketing capabilities, you’ll be a key partner to supporting the Creative and Marketing Operations team in keeping up with the growth and planning effectively as we launch an increasingly high volume of campaigns localized across more global regions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and demonstrated success as a strategist, analyst, and/or data driven marketer.
-6-8 years of experience in highly analytical environments - top management consulting firm, investment bank, corporate strategy, or digital marketer
• 3-5 years of entertainment or digital media experience driving growth strategy, business development, and/or marketing
• Proven track record and enthusiasm for building, managing, mentoring, and inspiring teams and influencing peer organizations
• Strong communicator with the ability to moderate based on audience and demonstrate an ability to partner with a range of cross cultural and cross functional partners. You need to be as effective with creative right brain partners as you are with technical left brain partners
• History of self starting and defining what success means in different professional environments and achieving that success
• Top-tier MBA (or equivalent)
