Job Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements
Lead the America’s Regional Integrated Planning team under the leadership of the VP Global Integrated Planning. Create and maintain the regional demand plans and supply plans with consistency and high levels of alignment with key stakeholders. Work extensively with the key stakeholders such as brand leadership and sales teams, the Global Supply Planning team and Supply Chain function, and finance to create highly accurate forecasts and supply plans that will drive business decisions throughout the organization and correctly provision stock for the US wholesale business.
Process Leadership:
• Establish and continuously improve the regional demand planning and regional supply planning organization in alignment with the other regional leads.
• Strengthen the relationships and touchpoints throughout the organization to facilitate the clear communication of demand plans and forecasts to key stakeholders.
• Create clear operating procedures and processes to maintain a consistent focus and clear communication to internal partners.
Stakeholder Alignment:
• Drive consistent utilization of consensus demand review, supply review and S&OP principles.
• Create regional consensus demand plans by presenting a clear business case that demonstrates the alignment of the demand forecast with the brand’s strategic direction and financial objectives.
• Create a regional supply plan to maximize delivery of business targets while minimizing risk of stock obsolescence and mark down.
• Identify and address regional demand anomalies and stock challenges.
• Partner with Regional Sales and Finance teams to ensure demand plan aligns with brand strategic direction and financial objectives.
• Partner with Regional Supply Chain to evaluate tradeoffs between service levels and inventory levels.
Personnel Management:
• Lead the regional team as we develop a more consistent global methodology for Demand and Supply planning management.
• Drive an organizational culture that values and demonstrates excellence, reliability, creative problem solving and high productivity in accordance with the Company Way.
• Ensure the team is trained and prepared to carry out their duties in a manner consistent with global practices.
• Coaches all employees to reach the next level of success and develop a strong pipeline of planning talent and works to build multiple options for succession within the wider team.
• Align metrics and key performance indicators to measure and optimize demand planning and inventory performance.
Education & Experience
Education & Certifications Required:
Master’s degree, preferably MBA, required. Bachelor’s degree with significant demand planning experience will be considered.
Experience & Background Required:
Requires 6+ years of demand planning & supply experience with significant personnel leadership.
Functional & Technical Competences:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to pinpoint opportunities and risks related to the demand plan and coach staff on effective resolutions to the issue
• Extensive knowledge of demand planning systems such as Oracle Demantra and S&OP
• Market Modeling and/or Strong Statistical forecasting experience
• Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of the commercial business environment and supply chain functions
• Demonstrated record of prioritizing, influencing and decision making at multiple levels in an organization
• Demonstrated record of successfully working with senior brand management in Merchandising, Product, Sales, and Supply Chain
• Demonstrated experience in creative problem solving
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills a must Experience working in a matrix organization
