Overview:
The Director, Digital Research & Analytics will be the primary point of contact for the account teams and be responsible for integrating digital research and measurement into all client engagements.
Responsible for managing projects focused on improving the agency’s analytics model and providing guidance in the creation of data-driven strategies and tactics. This person will also be responsible for raising the awareness of the department among account teams, providing outstanding service to clients inside and outside the agency, and raising the overall caliber of research and analytics at the company.
Responsibilities:
Client Management:
• Supplying consumer and business insights – not “data dumps” – to account teams and new business teams, to include:
• Analysis and interpretation of primary and secondary data
• Ability to understand client objectives and distill findings that are insightful and actionable
• Liaising with the Modellers (analytics partner)
• Managing analytic projects that involve client management, process management and partner management
• Design and coordination of primary research projects, both qualitative and quantitative. Preparation of research proposals, to agency clients and to other companies who need research and measurement services.
• As such, responsibilities would include: questionnaire design, banner/tabulation design, ad-hoc data analysis, production of research reports, discussion guide creation, focus group moderation
• Developing relationships with client and account teams. This includes regular and proactive one-on-one interaction with local account teams, and direct correspondence with account teams and clients.
• Understanding the clients’ objectives and ensuring research deliverables meet those needs
• Working on identifying the value of PR the agency's analytics initiatives.
• Be a vital source of research counsel among the account teams and outside clients. Including serving as lead in:
Leadership:
• Provide counsel to the internal and external clients and other senior leaders on research issues, and new business opportunities.
• Have a visible role in the agency, host training sessions that educate account teams on research and measurement offerings.
Talent/ Staff:
• Manage mid to junior level staff to achieve individual billability goals.
• Managing research needs during the development of new business presentations
Business Development:
• Participating in the development of new and incremental business, including:
• Relationship building with clients and account teams, lead development
• Contribute to the growth of the PR measurement profession by being active relevant organizations in the local/PR research community (AAPOR, PRSA, etc).
• Maintaining a strong level of expertise in Company’s PR measurement and analytic approaches and help develop new approaches and products/services
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (a master’s or higher is preferred) in the social or behavioral sciences, marketing, and/or communications
• Excellent writing and public speaking/presentation skills
• Sample design knowledge
• Strong statistical background and experience in regression, discrete choice and advance statistical techniques is required
• Excellent client management skills with the ability to communicate professionally and proactively
• A team mentality and desire to collaborate with co-workers
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines and keep manager and team updated to task progress
