Job Summary:
The Digital Promotions Coordinator is responsible for managing all digital, mobile and social components of station promotional campaigns and station marketing campaigns. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, and working closely with station Promotions Directors and the Digital Program Director, the Digital Promotions Coordinator will take a leadership role in the connecting the dots between on-air promotions, events and all applicable digital, mobile and social platforms for pre-promotion, engagement, sharing and recaps.
Responsibilities
• Routinely handles graphic design projects including digital ads, landing page design, brochures, site graphics, social media graphics, brand assets, and other types of digital marketing collateral.
• Conceptualizes and creates high-end, visually clean and stimulating web, print and/or motion graphics.
• Defines project needs and creative objectives within specifications determined by Program Director and/or Operations Manager, and visually translates into concept, design, artwork, and layout solutions.
• Provides consultative guidance on illustrative material and artwork for new and innovative projects and initiatives.
• Creates designs, concepts, and layouts for internal banner ads, pushdowns, sales-driven contests, etc.
• Uses Digital Content Creation (DCC) to produce computer animation for special effects, advertising, web pages, and other departmental needs.
• Sets up and/or updates existing Photoshop files for clients and exports graphics for use on web, print or in video.
Qualifications
• Ability to write/edit compelling, concise copy
• Experience operating content management systems
• Basic Photoshop and/or photo-cropping and sizing
• Basic understanding of HTML
• Deep understanding of all relevant social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.)
• Ability to generate, read and quantify digital, mobile and social analytics
• Creative multi-tasker who is able to work on several projects at one time
• Ability to lead by example and delegate work as necessary
Specific Market Duties
• Build and manage basic register-to-win contest pages with basic graphics
• Create custom weekly newsletter for multiple stations
• Design and schedule custom graphics on station homepages
• Build and schedule photo galleries with custom captions
• Audience and partnership outreach via social channels (influencers, fan clubs, etc.)
Experience
• 2-3 years relevant professional experience in digital marketing
• College degree in Marketing, Journalism or PR
