Summary
As a member of the content and community team as well as the Team Sports marketing team, you’ll be charged with developing and bringing to life digital marketing plans that will help Company and its athletes and ambassadors gain visibility and drive business with existing and new consumers. You will be the point of contact for the category across digital media, pulling together go-to marketing strategies that ensure the consumer has a seamless 360 experience across all channels.
You will serve as the voice and the ears of the category online by fostering the communities and reporting on insights.
The key qualities you need to succeed in this role are:
• Think creatively to develop innovative digital content strategies that increase views and engagement
• Solid communication skills and attention detail to publish content, deliver compelling and clear strategies and present insights.
What will you do?
• Manage development and distribution of social content strategies for 4-5 sport categories across channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope, YouTube, among others
• Establish a recognizable and unique voice that speaks effortlessly to the target audience, creating a rapport that sets the foundation for our community
• Create and publish real-time content and engagements targeted to customers,
fans, and influencers
• Curate/repurpose content from brand partners, athletes, media and users
• Coordinate with cross functional teams (sports marketing, product technology, communications, customer service and business units) to ensure alignment of content with company vision and support integrated campaigns
• Surface and analyze metrics around brand and industry content to deliver insights around content and community performance
• Leverage social media technology tools to publish content, monitor conversations and listening topics, engage with fans and analyze performance
• Stay current with digital and subject matter trends to make recommendations that are relevant to Company's social/digital presence
• Build and own best practices, processes, and guidelines that improve content, engagement and drive operational efficiencies
• Lead on category social media strategy, ensuring it’s aligned to the brand’s global playbook
• Develop and drive content strategy across all platforms, briefing and working with internal creative and outside partners to bring concepts and big ideas to life
• Work with cross functional teams to identify emerging trends and potential partners, taking best practices, tools and technology to apply to category strategy
• Partner with cross functional teams on paid media plans, partners and distribution
• Manage editorial calendar, aligning with key stories for the brand, products and category
• Surface and analyze metrics around category and industry content to deliver insights around performance
• Build and own editorial calendar across all channels, working off key brand and category stories
• Serve as the category point of contact for the editorial calendar, working with key stakeholders and evangelizing the calendar internally
• Establish the voice of the category, in conjunction with the global playbook
• Write copy across all social media channels, working with internal creative
• Leverage social media tools to publish, manage content and active listening
• Stay up to date on emerging trends, topics, conversations and the pulse of the community

What have you accomplished already?
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with digital/social media communications, creating social content, creative writing, Community Management, and marketing & analytics
• Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, editing, graphic arts, copywriting experience
• Constant curiosity to find new ways to approach creative and analytics problems
• Ability to work a schedule that includes night, weekend and live sporting event hours
• Proficient in Mac OS & Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently while keeping management informed of progress
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines with a flawless results focus
What else is important for you to know?
• Ability to travel up to 40%
