Is there a fit?
We are looking for a dynamic Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team.
Your responsibilities:
• Devise strategies to drive online traffic to the company website
• Track conversion rates and make improvements to the website
• Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns to optimize conversion rates
• Utilize a range of techniques including but not limited to SEO
• Oversee the social media strategy for the company
• Manage online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness and increase conversions rates
• Manage the redesign of the company website
• Improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the company website
• Responsible for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing; this includes any marketing campaign that is based online, such as social networking, viral YouTube videos
• Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data
• Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
• Provide information to sales teams on how to market digital products using a global strategy
• Write marketing copy for websites and maintain activity on these websites
• Analyzing web traffic to company websites and providing monthly reports
• Liaise with web and graphic designers to create visually effective software
• Communicate key information relating to digital products to non-digital marketing colleagues
Requirements of the role:
• Bachelor degree in Marketing, or equivalent post-secondary training and experience
• Experience in ecommerce, SEO, Email marketing, and social media.
• Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
• Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role.
Skills you are bringing:
• Highly up-to-date with advances in web technology and be immersed in social networking and viral marketing campaigns.
• Expert knowledge of how to use technical language effectively, using all the appropriate internet jargon, and knowing what makes a product innovative in the digital world
• The rare and exceptional ability of how to communicate the key features of a digital product to customers and colleagues who are not technically literate
• Exceptional skills in writing and communicating effectively about technology
• Have a strong interest in the future of digital products
• Think creatively about innovative approaches to marketing
• Understand what makes a good online marketing campaign
Even though a technical background is not essential for our Digital Marketing Specialist, it is highly beneficial to understand how a website or other digital product technically works. The more understanding you have of what you are trying to promote, the better you will promote it. Technical skills also help from a communication point of view, as you can demonstrate marketing requirements to software developers and designers using more detailed concepts and visualizations. Therefore the following skills and experience are also desirable in the role of digital marketing:
• Graphic design
• Video editing
• Web development
