In the Desktop Build Group, we provide global desktop solutions that strategically impact revenue. What we do helps retain and increase our client base. We learn from our successes and use this to influence our terminal offering as well as increase customer workflow awareness across departments.
As a crucial part of the team, you will work with the Sales department, by offering desktop solutions to promote client workflow efficiency, protecting and increasing revenue. And you will collaborate with the product development department, by providing regular feedback on themes and trends observed while working on customer projects in order to help identify growth opportunities or threats to our business.
Joining us as a Desktop Python Solutions Specialist means focusing on understanding customers' needs to provide the best solution. You'll be helping clients use Company data and API services in python, and building models that fill a specific product gap. You will create strategies that leverage our extensive API's to provide solutions to a specific market player. And you will highlight identified gaps in the Company offering and occasionally collaborate on building Jupyter Notebook solutions or prototypes for future development in our Terminal.
You'll need to have:
• Experience working in a financial markets environment with a deep understanding of different asset classes
• Strong python programming experience with exposure to Pandas, Numpy and Plotting libraries along with other financial market data packages
• Capability of writing well-structured robust code for both research and production and propagating best practices to the team
• Experience with C/C++ and SQL
• Experience with big data architectures and machine learning techniques in finance
• Experience and eagerness to work in client facing role
• Proficient oral and written communications skills
• Availability for occasional travel

• Cross asset knowledge (Equities, Fixed Income preferred)
Prior experience using the Company Terminal or similar products
