Designer I (Prints & Graphics) - CALVIN KLEIN
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Designer I works closely with the design team to develop prints and graphics across all Home product categories. They are responsible for interpreting seasonal design direction, working collaboratively with the team and other design partners, sketching follow-up changes, providing creative input to support to the Home design team process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
• This role will be responsible for developing print and graphic/pattern concept designs for all over prints, placed graphics, embroideries, badges & trims.
• Responsible for creative input, research, execution of designs and following development of the textiles.
• Interpret and design into the Color & Concept/key seasonal ideas in an innovative but commercial way.
• Importing purchased files, cleaning and placing into production repeat sizes.
• Prepare artwork sheets with all relevant information needed for suppliers.
• Working closely with the design team, helping with specific artwork requests.
• Partake in product reviews.
• Research concepts, materials and color trends.
• Support the completion of Tech packs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design.
EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years’ experience; background in Textile Design.
• Highly creative.
• Proficiency in garment construction for multiple Menswear categories.
• Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to establish good relationships with key parties and department staff.
• Flexibility to deadline demands, seasonal schedules.
• Enthusiastic and keen for interdisciplinary solutions.
• Advanced proficiency and experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Flexible and reliable.
