The Designer will join a small but fast-paced team with a nimble attitude and an eye for the creative process. He/she will focus on designing within Quartz’s custom ad formats from display units to interactives and working closely with marketers, content, and dev teams to create beautiful functional ad experiences. This position will report to Quartz’s Design Director.
• A Quartz designer is obsessed with beautiful, functional design, has knowledge of how to apply practically, and can fluently speak the design language.
• Intuition for designing mobile-first ads with the nuances of the responsive web always in mind.
• Thrives in a fast- pace work environment and enjoys working on a wide range of clients as well as collaborating and taking initiative within the team.
• Fascinated with data visualization, infographics, or motion graphics and knows how to bring these experiences to life.
• Keenness of mind to follow client directions and know when to be solutions oriented offering up a better design approach.
