Director, Business Development

Our Global Evidence, Value and Access (GEVA) division focuses on leveraging our existing clinical data asset (Global Therapy Monitor datasets) in health outcomes engagements and also conducting primary health outcomes research studies with patients, caregivers, and physicians.
The Director, Business Development position (or Senior Director or Vice President, depending upon the seniority and qualifications of the candidate) at Company is expected to play a key role in helping execute our growth strategy and form consultative relationships with our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Identifies and qualifies business opportunities related to potential studies both for target and exploratory accounts
• Secures client meetings
• Obtains requests for information and requests for proposals
• Assists in proposal development and facilitates presentations at client site
• Secures contract awards based on above efforts
• Assists with maintaining client satisfaction
• Provides project team support as appropriate
• Negotiates preferred vendor states at relevant accounts
• Identifies potential partnerships and contributes to the development of new product offerings
Required Skills:
Essential Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
• 10+ years’ experience in healthcare
• 5+ years’ experience in consultative sales in health outcomes
• Familiarity with primary health outcomes research, including patient-reported outcomes, survey methods, observational studies, and retrospective chart reviews
• Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal)
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight business travel
The position location is flexible but our New York City, Mahwah, NJor Boston, MA office is highly desirable.
