Creative Director
General Summary:
The Creative Director is responsible for leading, coordinating and developing the creative, editorial and promotional content as well as client integrations in order to ensure market positioning and effective selling of the programming according to objectives, goals and strategic guidelines. The Creative Director will directly report to the Creative and Original Production VP for SPT Networks Latin America and has 2 direct reports (Creative Manager, On Air Promotions and Creative Manager, Short Format Content & TANDEM (Client Integrations) and 25 total staff, based across the region.
Core Responsibilities:
20% 1. Analyze, discuss and oversee implementation of the brand strategies and objectives set forth by the Creative and Original Production VP.
20% 2. Evaluate the development of creative and promotional pieces of work as well as client integrations in the phases of pre-production, production and post- production both for On Air, Digital and Off Air; approve the execution to ensure compliance with strategies and guidelines.
10% 3. Create Short Format content for the networks both for integrating clients and setting the editorial tone.
10% 4. Establish proper communication between departments to ensure cohesive campaigns across all platforms.
10% 5. Track budgets and expenses with creative managers in the region.
10% 6. Lead and coordinate promotional campaigns with agencies, design studios, and production companies.
10% 7. Work closely with media planning to ensure promotional efficiency.
10% 8. Keep track of editorial and technical market trends.
Requirements:
• 10+ years in Broadcast/On Air Production.
• Extensive knowledge in production/post-production.
• 5+ years’ experience in managing larger teams, not always located in the same office location or country.
• Strong creative leadership, with the ability to oversee implementation.
• Superb written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• An independent thinker who is very much a team player and willing to be accountable for projects overseen.
• Full fluency in Spanish and English is required. Portuguese is a plus.
• Proven problem solver.
• Strong grasp of managerial and budgeting principles.
• Highly developed awareness of the needs of different brands and the ability to understand the needs of colleagues with different skill base.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and collaborate across different teams.
• Moderate travel is required.
