Origins & Darphin - Creative Assistant
This creative design role covers both Origins and Darphin brands and supports the Creative Team and Marketing Managers in being brand creative guardians and curators, communicating a UK relevant visual identity and marketing tone of voice.
With support from the creative team, ensure consistency and one brand visual message across all consumer touch points, which include in-store collateral assets, social media assets, digital advertising and in-store visual merchandising & store design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To provide design support for all artwork created in-house and for all necessary artwork amends to globally supplied assets, ensuring the global visual identity is protected
• To create assets suitable for all social and digital channels, to include photography stills, social banners and gif animations.
• Support the visual merchandising function in providing easy to understand display guidelines for all product launches and in-store events through the creation of product planograms for bay and table displays.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and Asset creation
• Develop brand continuity across all social and online channels
• In-house point of contact for designing all UK specific artwork, guarding the global identity and providing an effective transition from design conception through to out-sourced print
• Ensure all creative assets conform to the guidelines, assessing image layout, typeface and typesetting
• Liaise with the community and consumer engagement team for all design requirements for social media creative
• To create assets suitable for all social and digital channels, to include photography stills, social banners and gif animations
• Support on video shoots for social media and online content
• React to retailer activity and supply the online team with UK relevant creative content
• Keep up-to-date with the latest social design trends
• Design packaging where appropriate, taking art direction from the VM manager and liaising with the global team for approval and sign-off
• Liaise with external design agencies when out-sourcing artwork and provide appropriate art direction to minimize amends
Visual Merchandising
• Liaise with Marketing / Sales / Social / Digital / Communication, applying a 360 degree approach to all in-store assets to ensure maximum productivity of each launch
• Maintenance of the core planogram catalogue for all variations of store design. Maintain and keep up to date with new product launches and identify the commercial opportunities of regional consumer demographics
• Produce comprehensive monthly launch vm packs to include graphic and layout guidelines for all store design variants and manage the in-store collateral print process through the compilation of a detailed graphic matrix and liaison with external vendors
• Create displays and manage the collateral production for all retail exclusives, secondary sites and windows
• Attend all store refits, brand installations and PR event set-ups, providing in the moment coaching for store teams
• Cultivates close collaborative relationships with all internal and external teams
• Provides the internal team with appropriate, timely information regarding artwork for all calendarised programs and store refit program
• With Visual Merchandising Manager communicates regularly with Global VM & Store Design to outline market needs. Provides regular feedback on global and local vm initiatives and other programmes, as well as on local market trends and competitive activity.
• Prepares comprehensive graphic and 3-D unitary briefs to instruct external vendors on production. Building respectful and productive relationships with these vendors to elevate their understanding of the brand identity and requirements
General Responsibilities
• Maintain the creative database ensuring accessible navigation to all historical and current files and photos
• Respond to all field collateral requests and manage an effective system to identify delivery dates and times, reacting swiftly to priority needs
Qualifications
KEY ELEMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
• Demonstrate creative thinking that can interpret and adapt to requirements, with a tenacious approach to detail
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to establish and maintain an effective network across the cross-functional teams
• Ability to time manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
• Knowledge of excel, word and PowerPoint is required
• proven multitasking experience within a busy, creative environment
