Country Director – CSG Canada
Position Summary: Provide Strategic Sales leadership to the sales management team within the Canadian region. Leads, motivates and develops the sales team to meet and exceed their revenue and profit targets. Identifies opportunities for sales growth within the sales region.
Responsibilities
• Develop short and long term strategic sales plans for the Independent Retail channel in Canada, to support long term sustainable growth in the marketplace.
• Manage team of Field (provincial) Account Managers and set their annual budgets and sales goals, as well as the annual sales program for independent retailers in Canada.
• Manages and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each province.
• Complete detailed competitive analysis of the Canadian marketplace, to ensure we are priced, marketed, and serviced appropriately, given the uniqueness of the Canadian retail landscape.
• Work in partnership with Operations team to ensure delivery of our products is seamless to our customers and cost efficient to our company.
• Work in partnership with Finance Manager to develop and complete all Canadian pricing to ensure maximum competitiveness in the marketplace.
• Work in partnership with Finance Manager to ensure margin targets are achieved on all product categories.
• Work in partnership with Marketing Manager to develop and implement Marketing tactics and strategies to support Sales objectives.
• Travel with account managers, following on a daily basis the progress of account managers by phone and email, work with account manager to improve the quality of their work and to help them achieve their goals, and to evaluate account managers’ overall contribution.
• Actively participates with USA Regional Sales Managers in developing and recommending sales strategies and programs specific to the Canadian market.
• Establishes and measures the supporting short and long-term sales tactics and protocols.
• Recommends product and service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction standards.
• Works closely with the marketing team to understand the individual markets and develop and implement retailer support programs.
• Works closely with product management and recommends product and service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction standards.
• Works closely with sales team to accurately forecast weekly, monthly, quarterly sales numbers
• Works closely with sales team and product to accurately forecast the product needs to their specific region.
• Works closely with the Sales Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure quality Customer Service is delivered to our customers at all times.
• Work in partnership with Sales Operations to ensure B2B platforms are always current with Canadian pricing and collateral.
Essential Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years overall sales and sales management experience
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must possess good interpersonal/relationship skills – must cooperate and communicate effectively with co-workers, employees, managers and external parties.
• Knowledge of computers required including knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point.
• Knowledge and understanding of B2B and B2C environments.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
• Must be able to effectively work with a diversity of cultures.
• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as required
Beneficial Qualifications
• Graduate degree in a Business, Sales, or Marketing discipline.
• Experience in Recreational & Leisure industry, Life-style industry or Consumer products industry.
• Bilingualism is a plus
