DESCRIPTION:
The Coordinator, Video and Metadata Management will traffic video assets and input all required metadata information related to digital video in the video asset management system (VAMS), including monitoring and reporting on video performance. The Coordinator will also perform regular quality assurance checks of Showtime program metadata across customer-facing distribution platforms.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Trafficking video assets and inputting all required metadata information related to digital video in the video asset management system (VAMS).
• This will require a deep knowledge of all video that will be delivered to the digital services department by attending relevant meetings and fostering relationships with our partners in Creative Services, Digital Marketing, and PR, and Distributor Marketing. The Supervisor, Video and Metadata Management will also be responsible for ensuring that once videos are entered into the video asset management system that post-production services are engaged through the JIRA workflow management system. This will include quality testing all videos once they are ready prior to digital distribution and ensuring videos meet the delivery standards required for each piece and outlet. (I.e. Audio, calls to action, holding for exclusives, etc.). The maintenance of recording various information related to videos for internal stakeholders will also be required (i.e. - when videos will be posted to various outlets and partners)
• Screening all original series full episodes and selecting preview scenes for promotional use.
• The Supervisor, Video and Metadata Management will be responsible for screening all original series episodes, selecting preview scenes for online promotion and reviewing content with the appropriate parties, including rights and clearances when necessary
• The Supervisor, Video and Metadata Management is also responsible for entering preview scene metadata into vams, creating JIRA tickets, video quality testing and ensuring that the clips meet overall required video standards
• Monitoring video performance within analytics tools, including YouTube Analytics, Facebook Insights, Company website and others, and reporting on key insights related to video performance
• Active Weekly Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of Showtime listings on representative MVPDs electronic program guides (EPGs) and MVPD websites.
• When errors are found, work toward resolving them:
• Source proper metadata (e.g. - program descriptions, key art, etc.) from authorized, internal databases and provide updates/corrections to our metadata partners/aggregators via email.
• Create photo galleries of EPGs / UIs where Showtime content is visible
• Communicate status and image galleries of QA checks to internal Showtime stakeholders/departments at least twice weekly (sometimes daily)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 1+ year of interactive media production experience
• Strong knowledge and experience using databases, Photoshop, HTML and web development, Microsoft Office suite, video editing, experience with CMS systems.
• Some experience with XML (e.g. - basic taxonomies, searching) very helpful.
• Diligent follow-up on QA process - with strong problem-solving skills when issues arise.
