THE OPPORTUNITY
At Company, we are shaping the future of entertainment because we believe there is a better way to watch. Our international efforts have brought Company around the globe to virtually all countries and we’re excited to bring even more of our Originals programming to our viewers around the globe.
Company seeks an experienced Coordinator, Music and Cue Sheet Administration to help support our expanding slate of Originals content and our domestic and international expansion efforts.
In this unique and exciting role, you will manage vital components of our music licensing and music cue sheet administration processes and have visibility into all facets of our music business. As a seasoned music administrator, you know exactly what it takes to use music in a production and you understand the significance of master use and synchronization licenses. You’ve mastered the art of cue sheet preparation and in your view, there’s no cue sheet data that’s too small or insignificant. You know the difference between CISAC and SESAC. You know how to review a synchronization license for pertinent cue sheet information and are effective in aligning music supervisors, music editors and other production personnel to secure additional cue sheet data and oversee timely and accurate cue sheet creation and delivery.
Your thorough understanding of why cue sheets matter results in a keen attention to detail and accuracy that you impart to everyone involved in the music process. On your watch, it’s unacceptable for splits to add up to less or more than 100%, for PRO information to be lacking, or for timing or publisher fields to be incomplete. Any discrepancies don’t last long as you’re the first to solve them. While you’re an expert at Rapid Cue and know who to contact at the PROs for cue sheet matters, your command of this area means you’re always seeking better and more efficient ways to administer and deliver cue sheets and you’d actively contribute those innovations to help shape our cue sheet administration and delivery strategy.
You also understand there’s commonly another side involved when licensing music, the master recording side, and while you may not have handled direct negotiations of master use licenses, you fully understand how they work and why they’re important to a production. Your talents in this area are evident in your ability to independently manage the administration and processing of master use licenses on multiple productions and lead each production through to the final payment and signature process. As always, you tackle this side of the business with the same expert eye for detail and exceptional organization talents that you use in overseeing cue sheets and your diligence in doing so fosters and maintains our relationships with our external business partners and vendors.
The successful candidate will be one who loves working in an environment where freedom and responsibility are a tenet, and passion, innovation and curiosity are mandates (Company website-1798664), and one who seeks an environment that places thoughtful efficiency over process yet knows how to work with organizations or institutions who may not hold the same beliefs.
This role is based in Company's Beverly Hills office and reports to the Senior Counsel of the Music Group, part of the Business & Legal Affairs team at Company.
The Music Group is based in Los Angeles, London and Berlin and is responsible for all of Company’s global music business and strategy, from the production and licensing of Company Originals through to the distribution of the Company service globally.

• Liaising and coordinating with foreign sub-publishers and working directly with music publishers and performing rights societies to timely submit cue sheets and resolve discrepancies.
• Tracking, administering and processing music licenses, including requesting, coordinating and submitting payments and license agreements.
• Following industry trends for new business/content opportunities.
• Participating in other projects specific to Company's music needs.
Requirements:
• The successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree and 5-10 years of direct music licensing and music cue sheet administration experience in the music department at a major production, film/television studio, television network or music publisher.
