This is a working analyst position supporting customer revenue contracts. The Contracts Analystis responsible for reviewing, drafting, analyzing, editing, and negotiating the contractual needs of the business for sales of products and service offerings. Identifies risk and mitigation strategies, and works as a business partner with all levels of the business to provide responsive, clear, and actionable advice. Research contractual and legal questions and issues; clearly communicate findings and identify risks associated with mitigation options. Interface with all levels of executive leadership and management as well as customers in a fast paced, demanding environment. Escalate legal issues to in-house Counsel as necessary and collaborate on resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and edit contractual documents and assure that contracts contain appropriate terms and conditions. Prepare contracts, advise management of rights and obligations, and provide interpretation of terms and conditions with potential impacts.
• Negotiate with external entities/assist with negotiations. Follow Company legal practices to protect Company’s position and work with Company business leaders toward satisfactory outcomes.
• Interface with internal customers including business leaders, functional areas, finance, and accounting to provide contract analysis as needed. Identify business and legal issues and areas of risk. Assure compliance with contracting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and related experience required.
• JD or MBA may be useful background for this role, but are not required.
• Typically requires 1-3 years of contract drafting and negotiating experience in a business or legal setting.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, general PC skills, and use of techology for communications.
