Job Description
As part of the Enterprise Content Management department, the incumbent is here to lead a team of content specialists, taxonomist and SEO specialist.
They’re all in charge of supporting internal clients to organize their content efficiently and to improve information findability. She / He is also in charge of defining the content vision on multiple web products such as an enterprise search, a media library, a corporate taxonomy, a social network, to name a few.
Responsibilities:
The main and routine tasks of this position are to:
• Translate client requests and needs into actionable content strategies & recommendations that align with their business objectives;
• Create content strategy deliverables such as content inventories, content audit, content matrix, content governance, content workflows, personas and content templates among many others;
Prepares and facilitates content workshop with clients, stakeholders or/and end users;
• Interpret and conduct user research, analytics, benchmarks, and other data helping us or our clients driving their content strategy;
• Define taxonomies and metadata strategies (frameworks for grouping and tagging content);
Work closely with designers, and developers to translate sitemaps, information architecture & content management recommendations to design and development deliverables;
• Create content standards and a robust content governance to guide management of key content internally (templates, naming conventions, workflows);
• Define an effective strategy and plan for content maintenance beyond deployment;
• Collaborate on creating a content pattern library that aligns with UX patterns and brand guidelines;
• Train internal contributors, and website owners on content best practices. Develop a mentoring programs for content contributors/managers;
• Evangelizes best practices for achieving a user-centered design process with project teams;
• Provide content & UX recommendations for multiple web products – Enterprise search, internal social network, media library, etc;
• Influence top managers & stakeholders in order to make "content management" a priority for them & their teams;
• Manage and develop a team of 4 people: 2 content specialists, 1 taxonomist & 1 SEO specialist;
• Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
University degree in Library, Information Science or any relevant discipline
Relevant Experience:
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a digital communications or content management environment, with a strong understanding of the digital space and how to devise and execute a digital content strategy.
• Experience working with or developing taxonomies.
• Experience with content management systems (sharepoint, confluence).
• Experience in managing video games or entertainment content.
• Experience working cross-functionally with strategy, creative and technology professionals.
• Experiences in managing and leading teams.
Candidates must provide recent samples of relevant work demonstrating an ability to analyze user, client and project needs, and develop and execute relevant content strategy.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Deep knowledge of user experience best practices
• Understanding of SEO, taxonomy, information architecture & related disciplines.
• Able to lead discussions and workshops with clients aimed at uncovering content needs and gaining buy-in on proposed solutions.
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team, balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Committed to ongoing learning and professional development as digital communications standards evolve.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to teach and educate users and contributors on Content management.
