As a member of the marketing team at Company, you will be on the frontline of advancing our company’s vision: to inspire people with moving stories. In our new content marketing manager, we are looking for a creative and passionate content creator who will push editorial boundaries. At the same time, a passionate and collaborative digital marketer who will work with the entire marketing team to build the Company brand and increase the marketing team’s contribution to new business pipeline and revenue.
In particular, as the Content Marketing Manager you will be in charge of building the audience for and championing the editorial mission of our digital publication, the Content Standard.

In collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing you will also help shape Company’s content strategy. As a primary contributor to Company’s inbound marketing efforts, you’ll understand the needs of enterprise marketers and personally create content that builds awareness and interest in Company and converts that into consideration and purchase of Company software and services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the creation of 60+ articles for the Content Standard each month
• Write regular stories for the Content Standard that inspire, motivate, and entertain our audience. Your ability to keep people engaged is key!
• Edit stories by internal and external contributors for style, grammar, punctuation, syntax, spelling, SEO, and any other kind of editorial rule you deem fit.
• Lead and coach internal and freelance content contributor, providing consistent feedback to writers. You’re the editorial coach who helps writers reach the next level of their careers!
• Build and maintain the annual content strategy for Company via industry research, competitive research, audience surveys, internal/external interviews, and collaboration with marketing leadership
• Quarterly content initiatives. Pitch, plan, create, and promote content initiatives for Company website
• Complete monthly reporting on the acquisition, engagement and conversion of our audience
• Lead monthly editorial meetings to refine the editorial calendar for the following month
• Build content partnerships and syndication opportunities with 3 new publications per quarter
• Create and schedule the publishing of social media content across Company Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Qualifications
• BA/BS, BA in creative writing, journalism, marketing, or communications.
• Editorial skills (copywriting and editing).
• 1-3 years of experience in print or digital journalism including writing and editing.
• 1-3 years of experience in inbound marketing.
• Creative and process driven with success working in a deadline-driven newsroom environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver constructive feedback to team members.
• High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
• Ability to think strategically and identify and resolve problems, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Organizational and time management skills are must-haves.
