Job Title Content Editor
The content editor helps manage content programs for clients, creating content calendars and plans, and then aiding with the execution of those plans, for wide-reaching, consumer-facing programs that may include digital, print, video and mobile. The ideal candidate will have experience writing and editing as well as be comfortable pitching in on digital content strategies and working on everything from the initial brainstorming to trafficking content to editing. In this role, the editor may manage freelancers, assign and edit content, craft copy for content assets ranging from display copy to infographics to articles, keep the content moving, brainstorm and pitch ideas and generally stay flexible on a group of wide-ranging content projects.
Minimum qualifications/requirements include:
• 3-5 years editorial experience in a news organization, agency or client-side business
• Strong digital content experience, including experience across different content types, such as infographics and articles
• Outstanding editorial skills; the ideal candidate will have experience editing for content, scope, flow, style and adherence to quality standards
• Ability to manage a large amount of copy for several publications
• Strategic mindset
• Experience managing freelancers
• Financial content experience helpful but not necessary
