Purpose:
Develop business strategy to achieve net sales, net margin, inventory and SKU productivity for Action Sports. Support CTC Director with overall Action sports brand objectives & seasonal key concepts for WHS and Own retail/Ecom. Contribute relevant portions of annual and seasonal business plans on appropriate timelines.
Key Accountabilities:
• Drive CTC process and support CTC Director (DTC) with overall brand strategies/department objectives.
• Develop the development of specific CTC plans with brand driving and commercially relevant implementation strategies.
• Oversee the management of, and direct, the execution of CTC plans for respective key markets.
• Manage the delivery of the required content/brand and strategic objectives on-time-in-full at key GTM milestones, e.g GTM Handover, GMM, SMM
• Work with markets on all brand/commercial/administrative enquiries where required.
• Monitor/support/drive all net sales, distribution and activation objectives for respective markets.
• Manage and guide the execution of Brand/CTC objectives for Own Retail/Ecom, including OCS, BCS, FO, Franchise, In-Season Creation.
• Support Global Retail with all brand/commercial inquiries where required.
• Develop the marketing strategy for the business from brief through range launch for assigned category.
• Prepare the line for go to market excellence, including catalogue and web text maintenance.
• Ensure category and account objectives are met.
• Build range assortment and merchandising by channels and accounts from merchandising tools to catalogs and floor plans, which gives clear product direction and information to the operational departments
• Collaborate with the Category Manager to develop category initiatives in order to meet key commercial goals. Drive end-to-end initiatives through to all departments.
• Implement activation plans to drive authentic stories with sports marketing and brand marketing.
• Build market/retailer network to maintain trend and product awareness
• Presents ranges internally and externally (to key retailers)
• Identify the products that maximize profitability/productivity and present those to BUD in a clear and concise format
• Manage the process with effective communication and action steps in order to achieve margin, profitability, and inventory.
• May work with the Sales Manager to achieve goals by channel by account.
• Manage end-to-end business models/supply chain solutions to obtain greater profit and cash flow, by channel, by key accounts.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong business acumen in channel distribution, net sales, margin, profit and inventory
• Ability to provide merchandising leadership, including ability to manage/mentor more junior resources
• Ability to work with and influence all levels of the organization
• Strong presentation and planning skills
• Strong process and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to merchandise across channels and accounts
• A thorough understanding of retailers/markets, specifically in the sporting goods industry
• Prior knowledge of retail or wholesale preferred
Qualifications:
• Four year college or university degree, preferably in Marketing/Business.
• Minimum five (5) years product marketing or related industry experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
• Previous experience in the Action Sports industry preferred.
• International experience preferred.
