Wilshire Studios develops and produces engaging and innovative non-scripted, original programming for all media platforms. The studio is focused on attracting high caliber producing talent with the goal to create entertaining, thought-provoking and compelling programming. Wilshire produces E!’s signature "Live from the Red Carpet" series, which provides in-depth coverage of Hollywood’s biggest nights. The studio also produces “Syfy Presents Live from Comic-Con,” a three-night telecast which broadcasts live from one of the biggest fan conventions, San Diego Comic-Con. Wilshire has also produced 300 episodes of the dating game show “Baggage” for the Game Show Network. Additionally, Wilshire Studios is focused on growing and diversifying its slate to include docu-series, news programming, reality and competition formats. Job Duties
Provide administrative support for VP, Communications, including scheduling, phone, mail, travel, expenses, subscriptions, etc.
Support PR initiatives on behalf of Company Cable Productions (UCP) and Wilshire Studios; coordinate and execute publicity activities supporting a range of TV series, including: drafting press releases, executive and talent bios, show press materials; coordinating creative/show assets, photography; organizing press mailings.
Assist with planning, staffing, logistics and talent and media relations for press events, including Upfront, Comic Con, TCA, photo shoots, etc.
Liaise with talent agencies and reps; organize and book talent travel for special events and projects.
Update and maintain press contact lists and editorial calendars.
Track all UCP and Wilshire Studios press clips and compile daily and weekly clips reports.
Maintain awards calendar and handle submissions including Emmy, SAG, Golden Globes, etc.
Coordinate various internal communications functions, including weekly reporting, and updating press site, internal and corporate websites, shared drives on a regular basis
Gather information and conduct program and campaign-related research as assigned.
Distribute press releases, listings, tune-ins and media alerts.
Work with agencies on initiatives including social media.
Reconcile department expenses and invoices on a regular basis, submitting receipts and financial coding.
Act as liaison with internal departments gathering and disseminating information.
Work on special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
2-3 years public relations or entertainment administrative experience. Relevant internships considered.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and administrative skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly responsible, discreet and sensitive to quick turnaround deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail.
A go-getter for whom no job is too big or small.
Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with social media as it relates to consumer outreach. Experience working with Cision a plus.
Strong interest in public relations/communications and entertainment/pop culture.
