Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets. ISG Product Operations encompasses two functionally aligned organizations. The first, Trading & Client Operations, provides Operations functions in direct support of activity executed by Institutional Sales &Trading. The second, Clearing Operations, provides Operations functions in direct support for activity cleared by Company on behalf of our clients in Prime Brokerage, Listed Derivatives, and OTC Derivatives. The broad organization partners closely with Sales and Trading to develop and implement new products and services as well as drive efficiency and reduce risk in our processes. At all times we are focused on delivering quality service to clients both internal and external. ISG Product Operations partners closely with Shared Services and Banking Operations as well as Branch Operations and Operations Risk & Control to deliver a connected 'front to back' view of operations to ISG Sales and Trading. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Efficiently and accurately verify the settlement calculations for structured Electricity and Natural Gas settlements. - Timely resolution of settlement disputes - Identify, analyze, and ensure resolutions to cash fail receivables and trial balances. - Confirm accurate trade representation in risk - Provide Operational support for New Product Approval in Commodities - Address ad-hoc requests from Clients, Traders, Origination, Legal, Credit, IT and Controllers. This is a highly intensive trading environment with opportunities to work closely with multiple departments throughout the firm. Due to the time-sensitive nature of the trading business, they should be prepared to work overtime when necessary. Goal should be to: - cultivate a robust comprehension of the team's daily functions and responsibilities. - familiarize themselves with operational terminologies, acronyms, counterparties, and any other relevant technical knowledge. - develop a sturdy acquaintance with each system utilized by the team, and learn to perform each of the daily/monthly processes associated with the role. - build a solid knowledge base of the Commodities industry, specifically focusing on the North America Electricity and Natural Gas markets Qualifications - Attention to detail - Excellent verbal and communication skills - Ability to Multitask - Ability to work under pressure - Proficient in Excel - Team Player
