This position is responsible for the strategic development, management and planning of assigned events including, regional programs, educational summits, and virtual events. They will work closely with other colleagues within the department, as well as many outside vendors, to provide top-tier educational programs for healthcare providers, both virtually and in person. This role will be responsible for growing engagement with assigned events and identifying educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience with audience generation and ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Marketing experience within healthcare industry is preferred. This role also requires excellent communication and project management skills. Knowledge of planning and coordinating events, audiovisual knowledge, online editing programs, and virtual event platforms is required. This position functions in a highly matrixed organization and must be adept at team building and collaboration and can make informed decisions in a timely manner, using strong judgment and extreme attention to detail.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and lead the engagement strategy, creative approach, planning, and execution for assigned educational programs.
- Manage audience generation tactics and increase reach of target audience through various methods including but not limited to community outreach.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders to identify new educational programs and maintain existing programs.
- Act as overall project manager for designated programs, ensuring excellence through the management of program timelines and on-time deliverables.
- Organize, plan, monitor, and oversee multiple concurrent projects and meet defined requirements or business specifications.
- Develop project plans, conduct project meetings, facilitate discussions, assign actions, track progress, and communicate effectively with the team on project deliverables (projects include, but are not limited to, virtual programs, in-person provider conferences, and practice symposia).
- Collaborate and partner with other team members as required to deliver projects and programs that are part of strategic initiatives for the organization.
- Work collaboratively with other event experts on virtual event platforms, programming, registration, networking, and program operations.
- Responsible for leading live & virtual events, education programs and symposia as assigned.
- Develop and implement growth strategy for areas of responsibility.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the organization.
- Communicate effectively with the team on project deliverables.
- Participate in the development of Company/ Ontada provider meetings and represent the interest of the manufacturer customer segment. In some instances, will also act as the primary project manager and meeting owner.
- Manage activities related to practice-based symposia projects including discussing and negotiating requirements with practices, develop agenda aligned with practice objectives, incorporate manufacturer engagement opportunities, and oversee execution.
- Manage and execute virtual education programs including development of agenda, securing speakers, develop registration site and working closely with virtual vendors to build platform and ensure manufacture engagement opportunities are executed meeting customer expectations
- Develop an approach and methods to evaluate and measure event success. Leverage insights in the development of an annual strategy.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- College degree (business, marketing, healthcare administration) MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with target audience outreach and audience generation tactics
- Knowledge and experience working with health care and/or Pharma-Biotech Industry required.
Critical Skills
- 3+ years of event management, project management or other relevant experience
- Healthcare marketing event and community outreach experience required.
- Experience building and leading teams.
- Experience with developing educational content and presentations including but not limited to agenda and curriculum development.
- Strong customer focus required.
- Exceptional communications skills required.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver against multiple, concurrent programs.
- Strong Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proven ability to present to and interact with all levels of the organization, including external customers, physicians, clinical staff, and administrative staff.
- Advanced computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe Pro)

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at Company. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$83,300 - $138,900
